ArtsTeach is looking for qualified teaching artists for the North Carolina Wolf Trap and ArtStart programs.
Teaching Artists must:
- have a strong artistic background in the performing or visual arts
- have a minimum of two years experience as a teaching artist
- be committed to working in an interdisciplinary environment
- have experience working with school-age children
- be professional in demeanor, appearance, and approach
- be willing to travel throughout Charlotte-Mecklenburg for programs
- complete an application, interview, and audition
- attend a four-day professional development workshop July 14-17, 2008
Qualifications vary according to specific programs and more information about each can be found below.
Interested applicants must attend an Information Meeting, Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 4 – 5:30 PM, in the Turner Conference Room of the Levine Museum of the New South, located at 200 E. 7th Street (across from Spirit Square Center for Arts and Education).
