ArtsTeach is a non-profit organization dedicated to maximizing academic learning for students through exposure to, practice in and infusion of the arts, is looking for a college intern to join our team! ArtsTeach offers a possibility to work with the premier arts organizations in our community and hands on experience in designing and delivering quality arts education opportunities to our schools.

This internship is an opportunity to work in a premier arts education organization, to be a part of a small specialized team that administers, plans and executes aspects of arts education programming in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

As an intern at ArtsTeach, you will have the chance to take part in activities as diverse as curriculum research, event planning, and workshop participant solicitation and to work with dedicated professionals, including teachers and teaching artists.

We are looking for someone who:

Understands the value of arts education
Enjoys doing research via the internet
Is comfortable speaking with various types of educators
Can take direction and work independently

Your work will include:

Supporting grants and program coordinators in planning summer and fall workshops
Assisting facilitators of teacher and artist training seminars
Cataloguing final reports from previous year’s grants and projects
Supporting advocacy efforts

You have the following skills and capabilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
Internet research experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be a team player
